It has been an exciting time in the small Mayan village of Chan Chen. Yes, we still have a long way to go but now we are beginning to see real progress. This is what we hope to see by the fall of this year, 20 High School students enrolled in our training program. This program will take students in their last two years of High School and teach them conversational English and skills needed to work in tourism. It is our hope that at least half of these student would want to continue on to college in Playa where we will continue to work with them through the ministries of our church in Playa. The long term dream is that many of theses college graduates would return to their villages as missionaries to help educate and evangelize the next generation . We need your prayers, we are still so far from the finish line it would be easy to give up. Pray that the funds would come in and that God would start working now in the hearts of these future missionaries.
